2000 AD 40th anniversary special second printing – NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER!

The second printing of 2000 AD’s sold-out landmark 40th anniversary special edition is to go on sale on 22nd March!

This special reprint is now available to pre-order from 2000 AD‘s webshop and comic book stores.

It features a new take on the massively popular Judge Dredd cover by Hawkeye artist David Aja from the first print run. This ‘virgin’ cover is stripped of cover-lines, putting Aja’s striking visual front and centre alongside 2000 AD’s iconic logo.

Comic book stores can order the new Aja variant using code and description DEC167600 – 2000 AD 40TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL 2ND PRINT AJA COVER

There is also a limited edition featuring a new variant cover by world-renowned artist Jock, based on the uniform from the 2012 DREDD movie, and exclusively available through Forbidden Planet and Dublin’s Big Bang Comics.

The 48-page special is themed around the colour red – as befitting a ruby anniversary – and includes a brand-new case for Judge Dredd, courtesy of John Wagner and Carl Critchlow; Hammerstein and Ro-Jaws take their revenge on Howard Quartz in Ro-Busters by Pat Mills and Clint Langley; we return to the mad, mad world of Zombo by Al Ewing and Henry Flint; Nikolai Dante gets the party started in ‘Devil May Care’ by Robbie Morrison and Simon Fraser; a young Sláine shows that he’s got what it takes to join the Red Branch, courtesy of Pat Mills and Simon Davis, while award-winning writer duo of Lauren Beukes and Dale Halvorsen are joined by the legendary Carlos Ezquerra for a new Durham Red story. It also includes pages by Jock and Bryan Talbot!
