2000 AD Prog 1988 out now!

Put your brains into overdrive and leap into the future-shocked worlds of the Galaxy’s Greatest with Prog 1988!

The new sequel to the zarjaz Scarlet Traces by Ian Edginton and D’Israeli, which was an unofficial steampunk sequel to HG Wells’ War of the Worlds, begins this Prog and sees the UK transformed by their contact with the Martians.

Originally created for the short-lived Coolbeans website, it found a home in the Judge Dredd Megazine in 2002. The follow-up The Great Game was published in 2006 but since then, all has been quiet in this post-Martian invasion world — until now!

Scarlet Traces has joined 2000 AD‘s Thrill-packed pantheon, and this Prog we start the latest chapter, Cold War, in which the story has moved to the 1960s.

Here’s a comprehensive update on the series:

…and look out for new editions of the Scarlet Traces collections coming out in Jan 2017!
