The second collection of TC Eglington and Simon Davis’ chilling folk horror series, Thistlebone, is out now!

With beautiful fully-painted artwork from the acclaimed portrait painter and described by A Field in England director Ben Wheatley as “folk horror that will burrow under your skin”, Thistlebone is a sinister slow-burn of a series set in contemporary Britain, where the survivor of a bizarre woodland cult struggles to find answers to what happened to her.

It’s been over a year since journalist Seema Chaudry accompanied survivor Avril Easton back to the village of Harrowvale, the site of her terrifying experiences at the hands of the worshippers led by Jasper Hillman, a crazed occult cult that believed in the ancient woodland deity known only as Thistlebone.

Intended as a cathartic experience, both women were changed forever by what they were confronted with. In the process of researching for a book on the Thistlebone legend, Seema believes much of it centres around one man — Malcolm Kinniburgh.
