Prog 2174 sees new Judge Dredd and Aquila, plus more Skip Tracer, Sinsiter Dexter, and Feral & Foe!

Two new stories start in this Thrill-packed prog — Ian Edginton and D’Israeli deliver the latest curious case for Judge Dredd in Hair of the Dog, while Gordon Rennie and Patrick Goddard collaborate on the next arc for Nubian soul-taker Aquila in The Burning Fields.

The servant of the Devourer was last seen around these parts back in 2016, searching for the means to enter Hades and learn the location of his demon mistress, Ammit — his latest recruit being the severed head of the sorceror Scarabatus.

For those new Squaxx among you that missed the previous stories, we recommend heading over to to pick up the scrotnig Aquila trade collection!

Also new this week is return of a controversial old favourite — Action! Yes, the comic they tried to ban is back in Action 2020, and it features new takes on the likes of Kids Rule OK, Hookjaw, Hellman and Dredger from creators such as Garth Ennis, Mike Dorey, Ram V, Staz Johnson and more, with Henry Flint and Jake Lynch crafting the terrifying all-new Hell Machine.

Plus you can buy a special edition from the webshop that comes bagged with a replica of the original Action issue that got pulled from newsagents’ shelves!

Enjoy, Squaxx!

JUDGE DREDD // Hair of the Dog // Part One

Mega-City One, 2141 AD. Home to over 130 million citizens, this urban hell is situated
along the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America, with the irradiated wasteland
known as the Cursed Earth to the west. Unemployment is rife, boredom universal and
crime is rampant. Tensions rest on a knife-edge and only the zero-tolerance Judges can
stop total anarchy. Toughest of them all is JUDGE DREDD — he is the Law!

AQUILA // The Burning Fields // Part One

Following Spartacus’s failed revolt against his Roman masters, his rebel army was

gods for vengeance — and was answered by Ammit the Devourer, a deity that gifted
him with immortality in return for keeping her fed with evil men’s souls. Now, Aquila
wants to be released from Ammit’s bond, and is hunting for clues to her location…

Gun-sharks Finnigan SINISTER and Ramone DEXTER are the best hitmen money can
buy in the future city of Downlode. Having whacked Holy Moses Tanenbaum, a ganglord from an alternate dimension whose presence threatened the fabric of reality, they’ve found killing him reset the continuum, meaning no one knows who they are. Having recently tried to protect an A.G.I. from unknown enemies, Dexter has been injured…

FERAL & FOE // Part Twelve

It is five years after the Last-of-All-War, when the Monarchy succeeded in defeating
the Malign Lord, whose army of creatures sought to eradicate humanity. With their
leader dead, his minions are scattered across the lands, fleeing retribution from the
Wretchfinders. Necromancer Bode and warrior Wrath are two such beings, and have
been offered a deal — hunt and kill their own kind or be declared FERAL & FOE…
