Pre-order the first collection of children’s classic Marney The Fox
6th September 2017
Marney the Fox is the next collection from The Treasury of British Comics imprint – a Lassie-style tale of a lone fox up against wicked humans via Watership Down and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Appearing in Buster comic weekly from June 1974 to September 1976, the series detailed a lone fox cub’s desperate struggle to survive in a dangerous world. Written by the late Scott Goodall, the series was lavishly illustrated by artist John Stokes, and represents one of the lost gems of British comics of the 1970s.
This special collection, which reprints Marney’s adventures for the first time, features lovingly restored pages and comes with a brand new cover by John Stokes, who has talked about Marney and career spanning almost 60 years on the 2000 AD podcast.
The Treasury of British Comics is proud to offer not only the standard edition but also a special bookplate edition, signing by John.
