2000 AD Prog 2230 is out now!

2000 AD Prog 2230 is out now, with more new Judge Dredd, Thistlebone, Visions of Deadworld, Feral & Foe, plus the start of an all new 3riller!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS – Prog 2230 is OUT NOW!

The third of Tharg’s trio of spring 3rillers starts this prog with Arthur Wyatt and Pye Parr reuniting for another tale of those gut-busting ‘bots the Intestinauts in the scrotnig Symbiotic Love Triangle (which, admittedly, sounds like one of the prog-rock noodlers we used to listen to back in the seventies).

Elsewhere, we reach the zarjaz finales for both Dredd’s current case, A Penitent Man (which, judging by the feedback, has gone down a storm with you Squaxx) and the current arc of Visions of Deadworld, and folk-horror Thistlebone and fantasy epic Feral & Foe barrel towards their climaxes in a few weeks’ time.

That can only mean ghafflebette new Thrills are waiting in the wings, such as Department K’s first full-length series and
Noam Chimpsky’s solo outing, Chimpsky’s Law!

But before that there’s the matter of the second of 2021’s Regened issues, heading your way in Prog 2233 — a collection of all-ages stories overseen by Tharg’s indefatigable nephew Joko-Jargo. Once again, it’ll be a bumper forty-eight pages, and with the likes of Anderson, Psi-Division and Pandora Perfect returning, you won’t want to miss it, Terrans!

THISTLEBONE // POISONED ROOTS // Part Ten!

Britain, 2020. It’s been over a year since journalist Seema Chaudry accompanied cult survivor Avril Easton back to the village of Harrowvale, the site of her terryifying experiences at the hands of Jasper Hillman’s THISTLEBONE worshippers, a crazed occult group that believed in an ancient woodland deity. In the process of researching for a book on the Thistlebone legend, Seema believes much of it centres around one man — Malcolm Kinniburgh…

2000 AD Prog 2229 is out now!

2000 AD Prog 2229 is out now, with more new Judge Dredd, Thistlebone, Visions of Deadworld and Feral & Foe, plus a scrotnig new Future Shock!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS – Prog 2229 is OUT NOW!

Welcome back to your weekly hit of cosmic zarjazness, Terrans, as the crack squad of creator-droids seek to supercharge your reality with the gift of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic.

Alongside the scrotnig ongoing arcs for Judge Dredd, Feral & Foe and Thistlebone, this prog also features a complete Future Shock by Mark McCann and Glenn Fabry, and the start of a two-part Vision of Deadworld from Kek-W and Dave Kendall!

The week that Tharg’s dictating these words to the cowering editorial note-taker/foot-rest sees non-essential shops in England open for the first time in months as lockdown restrictions ease. Many of you Squaxx will no doubt be keen to get back to your regular routine of picking up this Mighty Organ from your local Thrill-merchant every Wednesday, and we sincerely hope that this is the start of the process of returning to something resembling normality.

After twelve months and more of Tharg’s minions being scattered to their domiciles, we will have to consider at some point when to open up the Command Module and bring them all back in. Will be kind of weird having them knocking about the place again…

2000 AD Prog 2227 is out now!

2000 AD Prog 2227 is out now, with more new Judge Dredd, Thistlebone, Feral & Foe, Visions of Deadworld and Tharg’s 3rillers!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS – Prog 2227 is OUT NOW!

Welcome, Terrans, to another weekly blast of circuit-shattering zarjazness, courtesy of our crack team of creator-droids.

Ken Niemand and Tom Foster crank up the intrigue in the third instalment of Judge Dredd: A Penitent Man; there’s another eerie trip to the fall of Deadworld from Kek-W and Dave Kendall, this time focusing on a pivotal moment in Judge Ava Eastwood’s life; Seema’s investigation of the Thistlebone myth sees her grip on reality loosen in Poisoned Roots by T.C. Eglington and Simon Davis; Battle Sister Evangelista steps aboard the papal barge and immediately regrets it in part two of James Peaty and Mike Collins’ Chorus & the Ring; and Dan Abnett and Richard Elson have Bode, Wrath and Krodgun venture into Golgone the Necromancer’s lair with typically disastrous results in Feral & Foe.

That’s a scrotnig line-up guaranteed to set your sensors on fire!

There’s some grexnixes that think we take unnecessary overload risks with you Squaxx, but we believe you can handle such cosmic energy — and to prove it, next week is the ghafflebette final episode of Sláine saga Dragontamer. Don’t miss it, humes!

2000AD Covers Uncovered – Keep Death Off The Roads!

Hold on to your helmets as Clint Langley brings us the making of his zarjaz cover Deadworld cover of Prog 2025, and Good Grud, what a cover it is!

The cover shows Fairfax and Jess desperately trying to escape the omnipresent clutches of Judge Death and his twisted brethren in what must be one of the darkest strips in 2000AD’s rich history. Clint was kind enough to send his images of his mind boggling process which simply MUST come with the following health warning – set Thrill Buffers at Maximum Earthlets!

Done that? Good, because here are what can only be described as Clint’s eye meltingly terrifying inks…

Good Grud, the cycling proficiency tests on Deadworld are harsh!

Those inks are drawn A2 sized and I bet are an absolute wonder to behold.

With the inks complete, tones are digitally added to make it look even darker and creepier!

Hiiiiiiiighway to Hell!

So finally, Clint digitally colours the image proving once again that he is probably the best in the business!

“Look once! Look Twice! Keep an eye out for Motorcycles (and giant genocidal maniacs!)”

Thank you so much to Clint for sending the images. This cover is an astounding testament to his talent – stunning composition and digital effects mere squaxx cannot comprehend. For more of CLint’s work, those who are on Facebook should check out The Art of Clint Langley, it’s wonderful!
