Mega-City One, 2140 AD. Home to 100 million citizens, this urban hell is situated along the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America. Crime is rampant, and only the Judges — empowered to dispense instant justice — can stop total anarchy. SKIP TRACER // HEAVY IS THE HEAD
by James Peaty (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon Bowland (l)
The Cube, the 27th century. This vast city floating in the depths of space was once a monitoring station, but has been refitted by the Earth-led Consociation as a solution to a universal housing problem. It’s now home to every kind of undesirable, and an easy refuge for wanted criminals. That’s where SKIP TRACER Nolan Blake comes in, a former soldier turned tracker-for-hire. Now, one of his quarries has been assassinated…

SURVIVAL GEEKS // GEEK-CON
by Gordon Rennie, Emma Beeby (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Somewhere in the outer limits of space/time, plunging through the planes of reality, is what looks like a regular suburban two-up two-down, but it is in fact powered by misfiring transdimensional technology. Inside live sci-fi obsessives Clive, Rufus and Simon, plus new reluctant housemate Sam and pet Cthulhu Howard: explorers on the edge of beyond, they’re never far from trouble on the worlds they visit…

DAMNED: THE FALL OF DEADWORLD
by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
The planet that eventually became known as DEADWORLD was once a regular civilisation existing in a dimension parallel to our own. But the end of days is coming: riots, storms, food shortages. his young ward Jess has vowed to mount a rescue attempt…

DURHAM RED // BORN BAD
by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

These ‘mutants’ became a victimised underclass, forced into ghettos, with bounty hunting the only job open to them. OUT NOW: 2000 AD Prog 2079

Welcome to your future, Earthlets — 2000 AD Prog 2079 is out now!

2079 also happened to be the year Judge Joe Dredd graduated from the Academy of Law, so to celebrate the occasion we asked the Mick McMahon droid to draw a zarjaz cover showing the lawman as one of the last men standing of his fellow cadets some sixty-one years later.

The subject of age and not going gently into that good night also comes into play in this issue’s new Dredd thriller Nans of Anarchy by Alec Worley and Karl Richardson as the Betty White motorcycle club The Valkyries seek to save their ailing block and its aged residents.

Elsewhere, the Abnett and Yeowell droids channel the old Air Ace Picture Library titles with the latest Sinister Dexter adventure The Gangbusters, there’s more action in Strontium Dog and the penultimate episode of Anderson, Psi-Division, and we have a
complete Future Shock from Martin Feekins and Joe Palmer!

Late 22nd century. After the Atomic Wars, many survivors were warped by the Strontium 90 fallout. These ‘mutants’ became a victimised underclass, forced into ghettos, and the only job open to them was bounty hunting. One such Search/Destroy agent, or STRONTIUM DOG, is Johnny Alpha, who recently led a mutant revolt against the norms. Now, the Doghouse has reopened for business, and Alpha’s been partnered with Kenton Sternhammer, son of his old Viking pal Wulf, on a job on Protoz…

OUT NOW: 2000 AD Prog 2074

We know what you’re thinking, Earthlets – 2000 AD Prog 2074 is out now!

Hopefully, your circuits are fully recovered from last prog’s scrotnig onslaught, for you’re about to get hit again by the second instalments of the latest line-up with more ghafflebette goodness from Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Anderson, Psi-Division, Sinister Dexter and Jaegir!

All of this behind a cover from art-droid Emily Zeinner, making her debut for the House of Tharg (rather shockingly, only the second woman after Angie Kincaid back in 1983 to have drawn a cover for 2000 AD!). You can hear Emily talking about her debut at San Diego Comic Con last year on the 2000 AD podcast – she’s amongst a bunch of talented new creators that you’ll be seeing more of over the course of 2018!

2000 AD Prog 2074 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps!

And don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage to locations in the UK is free!
