BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS – Prog 2208 is OUT NOW!

Welcome to the weekly circuit-scorcher that is the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, your one-stop shop for brain-sizzling excitement.

Inside you’ll find the latest scrotnig instalments of Judge Dredd, Fiends of the Eastern Front and Stickleback plus the penultimate parts for both Hook-Jaw and Skip Tracer — be here in seven for their unmissable finales!

As we dictate these words to the scribe-bot squatting on our desk, the UK is on the brink of another monthlong lockdown, with all the attendant stresses and worries that brings.

If our illustrious organ can alleviate some of that misery by transporting you, if only for a brief time, to other worlds, allowing you to leave the here and now far behind, then we feel this anthology is doing its job.

Tharg came from Quaxxann just under forty-four years ago to share his ghafflebette visions with you Terrans and to ensure that your planet was properly Thrilled — it would be remiss of us if we didn’t continue that in even the most trying of circumstances.

So be assured that 2000 AD will be here for you every week — and don’t forget that you can take out a sub and have your prog delivered direct to your door.

Just go to shop.2000AD.com!

2000 AD Prog 2206 is out now!

The latest, and final, Regened Prog of 2020 is upon us, Earthlets young and old, and features new Cadet Dredd, Future Shocks, Anderson, Sci Division, and all new Abelard Snazz and Venus Bluegenes!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS OF ALL AGES – Prog 2206 is OUT NOW!

Welcome, Terrans, to the fourth Regened prog of 2020! By now, you Squaxx should know the score — Tharg passes his nephew Joko Jargo the editorial baton for one week and allows him to pull together a bumper issue of the Comic of Tomorrow featuring complete stories starring characters old and new.

Within these zarjaz pages you’ll find five stories guaranteed to energise the circuits of any hume — Cadet Dredd is back, courtesy of Mike Carroll and Nicolo Assirelli, and stranded in the dinosaur-infested wilds of the Cursed Earth; fellow Judge Cassandra Anderson also returns, once again by Cavan Scott and Paul Davidson, and tackling an alien menace that is not all it seems…

We also head to Nu Earth to meet clone-soldier Venus Bluegenes for the explosive Threat Level: Zero by Liam Johnson and Aneke; and the man with the two-storey brain, Abelard Snazz, returns to 2000 AD after an absence of thirtyseven years, brought to you by Paul Cornell and Anna Readman, who makes her prog debut!

Add to that another head-spinning Future Shock from Karl Stock and Tom Newell, and you have a scintillating blast of scrotnig sci-fi.

We hope you enjoy this latest Regened extravaganza, Earthlets — Regened will be back in 2021!

CADET DREDD // Tooth and Claw!

Mega-City One, 2077 AD. Home to over 800 million citizens, this urban hell is situated along the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America. On one side is the polluted Black Atlantic, and to the west is the blasted radlands of the Cursed Earth. Overcrowding
in the metropolis is rife, unemployment is at ninety per cent, boredom is universal and crime is rampant. Only the Judges — a zero-tolerance police force empowered to dispense instant justice — can stop total anarchy. CADET JOE DREDD — together with his
clone-brother Rico — is a rising star in Justice Department, and will one day be its finest officer. Make no mistake, he is the Law!

Script: Paul Cornell / Art: Anna Readman / Colours: Pippa Bowland / Letters: Jim Campbell

ABELARD SNAZZ // The Only Way Is Up!

The outer reaches of the galaxy. ABELARD SNAZZ is the man with the double-storey dome — a mutant whose reputation as the cleverest being in the universe is known on every planet in every system. Such is his tremendous reasoning power, civilisations
from every corner of space have sought him out to help solve their problems. If you’ve got the cash, and you’ve flattered his enormous ego enough, then Snazz will come up with a solution. Unfortunately, his record on actually improving a situation is kind of spotty, and even his loyal droid manservant Edwin is starting to think that maybe Abelard’s ideas are not always helpful…

Script: Liam Johnson / Art: Aneke / Colours: Barbara Nosenzo / Letters: Simon Bowland

VENUS BLUEGENES // Threat Level: Zero!

Nu Earth, just one planet among many caught up in a galactic war between the Norts and the Southers. Strategically vital, both sides are desperate to secure it but use of chemical weapons during the conflict has rendered the atmosphere poisonous. Now, soldiers must wear special suits to venture onto its surface — to breathe Nu Earth’s air is highly dangerous. So the Southers created the Genetic Infantrymen, bred to be immune to the planet’s lethal cocktail of pollutants. The female equivalent, known as ‘G.I. Dolls’,
were meant to be restricted to work on the orbiting command centre Milli-Com — but VENUS BLUEGENES has other ideas…

Script: Karl Stock / Art: Tom Newell / Colours: John Charles / Letters: Jim Campbell

FUTURE SHOCKS // For The Man Who Lives Everywhen!

Out in the vast reaches of the universe, there are an infinite number of stories waiting to be told. These cautionary tales pass from traveller to traveller in the spaceports and around campfires on distant planets, acquiring the status of legend, their shocking ends
a salutory lesson in hubris. Anything is possible in these twisted trips into the galaxy’s dark side. Abandon your preconceptions, and expect the unexpected. Time travel has always been a dream of scientists throughout the centuries – the chance to explore eras in either the past or the future. But so far the technology has always eluded them — until now…

Script: Cavan Scott/ Art: Paul Davidson / Colours: Len O’Grady / Letters: Simon Bowland

ANDERSON, PSI-DIVISION // Early Warning!

Mega-City One, 2142 AD. Psi-Division is a section of Justice Department that specialises in Judges with accentuated psychic talents — from precognition to exorcism, projection to pyrokinesis, it deals with all manner of paranormal crimes, and is often the city’s first defence against supernatural threats. Cassandra ANDERSON is Justice Department’s top telepath — warm, empathetic and often flippant, she’s not your usual Judge, and she still sees the good in the Big Meg’s citizens. Given that Psi-Judges are often highly strung, their occasionally disrespectful attitude is overlooked as long as they continue to get results…

Mega-City One, 2142 AD. Home to over 140 million citizens, this urban hell is situated
along the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America. With unemployment rife and
boredom universal, tensions run a knife-edge and crime is rampant. Only the Judges
— zero-tolerance cops empowered to dispense instant justice — can stop total anarchy.
Toughest of them all is JUDGE DREDD — he is the Law!

Script: Rory McConville / Art: Joel Carpenter / Letters: Annie Parkhouse

FIENDS OF THE EASTERN FRONT // Constanta // Part Three!

In 1980, the diary of German soldier Hans Schmitt was discovered in Berlin, detailing
events that occurred in 1941, when he encountered the terrifying vampire Captain
Constanta and his Romanian platoon. But Schmitt was not the first trooper to meet
Constanta — the vampire was on the Western Front too, in France in 1916. Now, in 1921,
an British pilot, Lieutenant Tim Wilson, has travelled to Romania in search of him…

Script: James Peaty / Art: Paul Marshall / Colours: Dylan Teague / Letters: Simon Bowland

SKIP TRACER // Hyperballad // Part Four!

The Cube, the 27th century. This vast city was once a monitoring station, but has been
refitted by the Earth-led Consociation as a solution to a universal housing problem,
where it’s become home to every kind of wanted criminal. That’s where SKIP TRACER
Nolan Blake comes in, a former soldier turned tracker, who wields powerful psi-abilities.
Now, following Nimrod’s attempt to destroy the Cube, it’s in orbit above Balbuena…

Script: Ian Edginton / Art: D’Israeli / Letters: Jim Campbell

STICKLEBACK // New Jerusalem // Part Four!

London, the end of the nineteenth century. STICKLEBACK is a master criminal, pulling the
strings amidst the denizens of the capital’s underworld, and led a gang of freaks, oddballs and semi-supernatural entities that had the city under their thumb. Mystery has always surrounded his past, and his identity has now been revealed as none other than Sherlock Holmes himself. But London faces a dire threat from otherworldly creatures…

Script: Alec Worley / Art: Leigh Gallagher / Letters: Simon Bowland

HOOKJAW // Part Four!

NEW STORY! His name is legend, a myth that has passed into popular culture via
stories, word of mouth, comics, merchandise, and more — that of the formidable Great
White shark known as HOOK-JAW. A spear protruding from his lower jaw, few who
encounter him live to tell the tale, so terrible is his hunger. Bodies rent asunder in his
wake, the sea stained red with the blood of his victims, he’s a true terror of the deep…

2000 AD Prog, 2201 is out now, with more new Judge Dredd, Stickleback, Hook-Jaw, and Skip Tracer, plus all-new Fiends of the Eastern Front!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS – Prog 2201 is OUT NOW!

We trust your Thrill-diodes were suitably frazzled by last week’s bumper jumping-on prog, Terrans, and you’re ready for some more scrotnig stories — joining the line-up this issue of Judge Dredd, Skip Tracer, Stickleback and Hook-Jaw is a new Fiends of the Eastern Front tale, Constanta, from Ian Edginton and Tiernen Trevallion, telling the origins of the vampire warrior.

Quite the roster of zarjazness, we think you’ll agree — but alas keeping the creator droids maintained at such a level has meant we’ve had to increase the cover price by eleven of your Earth pence (shipping out specially formatted progs to those microbes on Venus isn’t cheap, either).

But don’t forget that subscription rates are still frozen so you’ll save money if you sign up to a sub — go to shop.2000AD.com today!

So many titles being pumped out of the House of Tharg at the moment, it’s enough to make your head spin. If you haven’t yet picked up Meg 424, do so immediately (and make sure you check out Dan Abnett and friends’ professionally recorded tracks to go with the Lawless musical episode, the link to which you’ll find on 2000AD.com), plus the Battle and Misty & Scream specials are equally essential purchases!

Out in the vast reaches of the universe, there are an infinite number of stories waiting
