Created by John Tomlinson and Kevin Walker, Tor Cyan was a regular character in space medical strip Mercy Heights – a gruff, dedicated genetically-engineered pilot of an ambulance shuttle attached to the orbiting hospital.
But it didn’t escape readers’ attention that he looked an awful lot like a certain other blue-skinned character from 2000 AD…
