The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast Lockdown Tapes – Arthur Wyatt

Welcome to the twenty-seventh of The Lockdown Tapes as The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast continues to broadcast the joys of Thrill-power during the COVID-19 pandemic! Got a theme or interview you’d like to hear? Let us know at thrillcast@2000AD.com

Like last week’s guest, Arthur Wyatt is one of the newer generation of writers at 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine. With a background in the 2000 AD fan scene and small press publishing, Wyatt was a winner of the ‘pitch-fest’ at the DreddCon convention and has gone on to write The 86ers, Judge Dredd, Orlok: Agent of East-Meg One, Tharg’s Future Shocks, Samizdat Squad, Tales from the Black Museum. The Thrill-Cast talks to the British ex-pat now living in America about his work, moving from fandom to pro, how he juggles a day job with his writing, and what it’s like writing Judge Dredd at a time of great civil unrest in the US.
