The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast Lockdown Tapes: John Sanders

Welcome to the forty-ninth episode of The Lockdown Tapes as The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast continues to broadcast the joys of Thrill-power during the COVID-19 pandemic! Got a theme or interview you’d like to hear? Let us know at thrillcast@2000AD.com

From within King’s Reach Tower on the banks of the Thames, John Sanders masterminded the output of Britain’s biggest comics publisher over 25 years, including overseeing the launch of hugely popular titles like Tammy, Battle and the revolutionary 2000 AD. In his new memoir – King’s Reach: John Sanders’ 25 Years at the Top of Comics – he reveals, for the first time, his story and that of the medium that would go on to dominate global culture. Thrill-Cast host Molch-R sat down with John to talk more about his unique perspective on the heyday of the old British comics industry, the personalities he worked with, and the battles he fought.
