Who’s won the latest 2000 AD Art Stars competition??

It’s the competition that gives you the chance to see your art appear in the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, and Rebellion is delighted to announce the latest winner of 2000 AD Art Stars!

2000 AD Art Stars is the online competition where budding artists produce their take on a classic 2000 AD character. Editor Tharg the Mighty then chooses one to be printed in a future issue of 2000 AD – and the winner gets paid for their art too!

The theme this time was the Angel Gang! Created by John Wagner, Alan Grant, and Mick McMahon, they’re the meanest, nastiest family you’ll find from the Western Badlands to the Alabama Morass – this sadistic criminal clan was led by patriarch, Elmer ‘Pa’ Angel, and included lunk-headed Link, evil poisoner Fink, head-butting maniac Mean Machine, and the sociopathic Junior.

More than 100 worthy entries flooded in but, in the end there can only be one winner chosen by Tharg the Mighty…

Congratulations to the winner – PETER YONG!

And well done to runner-ups ANDY LAMBERT and JACK BATES. They’ll both get a zarjaz graphic novel bundle!

2000 AD Art Stars will be taking a break until the new year, when we’ll be returning for a new – and very special – competition for 2000 AD‘s 45th birthday! Check out the details, and terms and conditions, here!
