Jump On Here! 2000 AD Prog 2401 out now!

ATTENTION, EARTHLETS – 2000 AD Prog 2401 is OUT NOW!

Call me The Mighty Tharg, ebullient emerald editor of this award-winning SF anthology!

I trust you’ve fully recovered from the galaxyshaking events of last week’s Nordland Rising crossover, Terrans, and your circuits are prepped for another level of Thrill-power — because I’m about to pummel your diodes with yet more zarjazness in the shape of the all-new line-up starting this prog!

Well, Brink continues (I know you Squaxx wouldn’t forgive me if you didn’t find out what happens next…) but elsewhere we’ve got the start of Book Four of the ever-popular The Out by the Abnett and Harrison droids, Garth Ennis and Patrick Goddard reunite following last year’s acclaimed Blighty Valley story for a new Rogue Trooper thriller When a G.I. Dies, the Williams, Wyatt and Lynch droids pick up some plot threads from A Better World in Judge Dredd: Silence, and The Order creators Kek-W and John Burns collaborate on a brand-new historical horror Nightmare New York.

This would prove to be John’s final work as ill health led him to retire, and he sadly died at the end of 2023. So it adds an extra potency to view the last pages of a comics master and appreciate his extraordinary talent…

2000 AD Prog 2401 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage in the UK is free!

Nordland Rising! 2000 AD Prog 2400 out now!

ATTENTION, EARTHLETS – 2000 AD Prog 2400 is OUT NOW!

I am The Mighty Tharg, all-powerful alien editor of this eye-popping SF anthology!

We mark another benchmark issue — two thousand four hundred progs! How on Quaxxann did that happen? — with a special crossover event. In previous years, we’ve had the zombie variants of the characters and the ‘What if…?’ of the Battle Action merger — but this time, it’s war!

Yes, in this particular alternate take on 2000 AD history, the Norts, having defeated the Southers, have sought new worlds to conquer, and Nu Earth’s nearby black hole gives them the opportunity to invade multiple other universes. So, just as Dredd and co are fending off the Sovs at the height of the Apocalypse War, a new enemy joins the fray. And it’s not just Mega-City One that’s coming under attack — Bad Company, the V.C.s, Major Eazy and more are facing the might of the Nordland Empire, and will have to collaborate to strike back…

This is a story too big to contain in just one 48-page issue, so it carries on into Judge Dredd Megazine 472 — handily, on sale the very same day as this pulse-pounding prog! So prepare for an epic battle, Terrans, as Kano, Hershey, Jupe and Constanta team up for the very first time…

2000 AD Prog 2400 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage in the UK is free!

JUDGE DREDD // NORDLAND RISING

Mega-City One, 2104 AD. Home to over 800 million citizens, this urban hell is situated along the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America. Crime is rampant, and only the Judges — empowered to dispense instant justice — can stop total anarchy. Toughest of them all is JUDGE DREDD — he is the Law! Now, East-Meg One has launched an all-out nuclear attack on MC-1, followed by an invasion…

Script: Peter Milligan / Art: Cam Smith / Letters: Jim Campbell

BAD COMPANY // THE TORTURE FARM

The planet Ararat, the twenty-third century. This world has become the site of a vicious war between mankind and the alien Krool. They’ve been in deadly conflict for several years now, with little progress — the Krool’s ruthlessness and penchant for sadistic torture has made them a formidable foe. But a rumour has emerged of a strange outfit operating behind enemy lines, called BAD COMPANY…

Script: Dan Abnett / Art: Nick Dyer /Colours: Jack Davies / Letters: Simon Bowland

THE V.C.s // NORTS & DOUBLE-CROSSES

The Earth solar system, the twenty-sixth century. No one knew where the alien Geeks came from, but they sure weren’t friendly. When they started attacking mankind’s outposts, it was up to the Global Combat Corps to protect the galaxy. Otherwise known as THE V.C.s — the Vaccuum Cleaners, because they clear-up the spaceways — this team of heavily armoured marines go where they’re needed to tackle the Geek menace…

Script: Ian Edginton / Art: Nick Percival / Letters: Jim Campbell

FIENDS OF THE EASTERN FRONT // WHAT’S BRED IN THE BONE

Earth, the Second World War. As the German Army battles the Russians, one particular platoon found itself allied with a Romanian squad, led by the brutal Captain Constanta. The Romanian soldiers were hungry for revenge against the Soviets, but little did the Germans realise that Constanta and his crew were in fact vampires — and their bloodlust meant anyone was a target…

Script: Gordon Rennie / Art: Simon Coleby / Colours: Gary Caldwell / Letters: Simon Bowland

JAEGIR // 100 MILLION MARTYRS

The Greater Nordland Republic. While the Norts were engaged in a galaxy-wide war with the Souther forces, it fell to military officers such as Kapiten-Inspector Atalia JAEGIR of the Nordland State Security Police to investigate war criminals amongst her own ranks. The daughter of War Marshal Josef Jaegir, she’s also suffering from the Strigoi curse, a fault in the Nort DNA that can bring out the beast within…

Script: Arthur Wyatt / Art: Tom Foster / Colours: Chris Blythe / Letters: Simon Bowland

MAJOR EAZY // AFRIKA NORTS

The African desert, 1942. During the Allied campaign, few officers were as singular as Major Eazy — long-haired and laconic, this scruffy maverick never failed to irritate his superiors. With a cigar hanging from his lips and often found driving his distinctive Bentley, Eazy seemed crazy — but his eccentricities were overlooked because when it came to warfare, he always gets the job done…

Out Now! The Judge Dredd by Brian Bolland Masterpiece Edition

The Judge Dredd by Brian Bolland Masterpiece Edition

Reprinting the immediately sold-out Judge Dredd by Brian Bolland Apex Edition, this Masterpiece Edition is expanded and reformatted for a wider audience!

Acclaimed as one of the greatest artists of his generation for his work on such titles as Camelot 3000 and Batman: The Killing Joke, Brian Bolland’s work on Judge Dredd helped catapult both the series and Bolland himself to international acclaim.

This book includes high resolution scans of original art pages from Judge Dredd epics such as ‘The Cursed Earth’, ‘The Day the Law Died’ and ‘The Judge Child Quest’, as well as Bolland’s masterpiece, ‘Judge Death Lives’. Also included is a gallery of covers ranging from 2000 AD to the 1980s Judge Dredd reprints published by Eagle Comics, which brought Bolland to the attention of American readers and show off his inventiveness and sardonic humour.

This new paperback collection, measuring 307 × 231 mm, follows 2022’s sold out Judge Dredd by Brian Bolland Apex Edition and reformats the stunning oversized collection into an affordable and shelf-friendly paperback edition.

Perhaps the most popular 2000 AD artist of all time, Brian Bolland’s clean-line style and meticulous attention to detail ensure that his artwork on strips including Dan Dare, Future Shocks, Judge Dredd and Walter the Wobot looks as fresh today as it did when first published.

Co-creator of both Judge Anderson and The Kleggs, Bolland’s highly detailed style unfortunately precluded him from doing many sequential strips — although he found the time to pencil both Camelot 3000 and Batman: The Killing Joke for DC Comics. One of the most admired artists in comics history, this paperback edition collects his work in the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic in unbelievable detail!

This new Masterpiece edition features the same original art pages as The 2000 AD Art of Brian Bolland Apex Edition, plus the following extra pages:

  • Starlord Annual cover
  • Prog 77 page 1
  • Prog 86 page 6
  • Prog 96 page 2
  • Prog 120 page 3
  • Prog 225 cover
  • Prog 225 Page 3
  • Cursed Earth Book One Illustration
  • Judge Child Quest (Eagle Comics reprint) issue 2 cover
  • Revolver Romance Special cover
  • Prog 2000 Tharg story page
  • Prog 2270 cover

2000 AD Prog 2399 out now!

ATTENTION, EARTHLETS – 2000 AD Prog 2399 is OUT NOW!

I am The Mighty Tharg, verdant of visage and channeller of Thrills — welcome to 2000 AD!

We wrap up the current runs of both Herne & Shuck and Silver this prog — but fear not, Terrans, both will be back next year — plus there’s a complete Dredd thriller from the Carroll and Assirelli droids and a double-length episode of Brink ahead of it taking a break for a week before returning in Prog 2401.

Why the break? Because next week’s issue is going to be a very special event that crosses over with Meg 472! Yes, Prog 2400 will see the Norts from Rogue Trooper invade the 2000 AD multiverse in Nordland Rising, and the likes of The V.C.s, Bad Company, and of course Dredd will find themselves battling a new and determined enemy. But this will be a war that can’t be contained in just fortyeight pages — the fight will continue into the Meg, and so I highly recommend if you’re not a regular reader of the monthly that you pick up #472 to get the whole story.

Both go on sale 18 September — but remember, read Prog 2400 first! After that, we’ve got a whole bunch of zarjaz new stories starting like The Out and Rogue Trooper — be here, my Squaxx!

2000 AD Prog 2399 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage in the UK is free!

2000 AD Prog 2397 out now!

ATTENTION, EARTHLETS – THE BUMPER-SIZED 2000 AD Prog 2397 is OUT NOW!

I am Tharg The Mighty, the iconic alien editor at the helm of this world-shaking weekly!

Welcome once again, my Squaxx, to Thrillcentral, where I recommend you steel your diodes before entering — within these pages, the excitement levels are red-lining alarmingly.

Even I have been given pause to wonder if you Terrans can handle such high-octane action — in the past, I’ve been blasé about my droids’ concerns that I’m overloading the Galaxy’s Greatest with just too much zarjazosity, and have always believed that not only can you deal with it, but also actively hunger for more. But I look at the prog before me, shuddering with barely contained energy, and it makes me question whether I should be responsible for unleashing such scrotnig Thrills upon your reality… …and of course the answer is yes!

It would be remiss of me not to test the limits of your Thrill-absorption, so you’ll find within the circuitshattering latest episodes of Judge Dredd, Silver, Brink, Herne & Shuck and Rogue Trooper.

Enjoy, Earthlets, and know that we’re riding by the seat of our interstellar jumpsuits as we plunge into the outer limits of cosmic entertainment!
