PRE-ORDER NOW: One-Eyed Jack

Part Dirty Harry, part Judge Dredd, ALL BADASS – One-Eyed Jack is returning to the streets in June!

A new collection of the classic series from Valiant will be the first volume in Rebellion Publishing’s new Treasury of British Comics line.

A very limited edition featuring a bookplate signed by co-creator John Wagner is now available to pre-order, as well as the standard edition.

Police Detective Jack McBane is the toughest, meanest law enforcer in 1970s New York City. Despite having lost his left eye in the line of duty, McBane will stop at nothing to rid the crime-infested streets of scumbags and villains – even if it means having to occasionally break the rules!

Written by John Wagner and featuring the dynamic artwork of the late John Cooper, One-Eyed Jack is a seminal comic strip which helped shape and change the course of British comic books forever.

COVER REVEAL: The Leopard from Lime Street

We’re very pleased to unveil the new cover for the first collection of Tom Tully, Mike Western, and Eric Bradbury’s “British Spider-man” series The Leopard from Lime Street.

Originally published between 1976 and 1985, The Leopard from Lime Street – Book One will be published in paperback in July, with a special limited edition hardcover available exclusively from Rebellion Publishing.

Designed by 2000 AD designer Oz Osbourne and featuring artwork by Mike Western, inked by Eric Bradbury, this will be the second title in Rebellion’s new Treasury of British Comics line. You can read the schedule of forthcoming releases from the Fleetway/IPC archive here.

One of the most requested reprints from the recently-acquired archive, The Leopard from Lime Street is essentially the British Spider-man – a hugely popular home-grown teenage superhero called Billy Farmer, who lives with his Aunt Joan and Uncle Charlie when he is scratched by a radioactive leopard at the local zoo.

Gaining leopard-like strength, speed, reflexes, and tree-climbing abilities, when he’s not fighting crime, Billy sells photographs of himself to the local paper, using the money to support his frail aunt while contending with his violent, greedy and lazy uncle.

With warmth, wit, and stunning artwork by Mike Western and Eric Bradbury, The Leopard from Lime Street is a gem of 1970s and 1980s British comics, now eagerly awaiting its return to shelves!
