OUT NOW: Judge Dredd Megazine #451 – new format, more pages!

Judge Dredd Megazine 451 out now

Judge Dredd Megazine #451 is OUT NOW!

The Megazine gets a face-lift this month – the print mag is now squarebound, with the reprint moved inside the mag itself, thereby ditching the polybag and the separate mini-trades. To mark this format change, this bumper Xmas issue is a massive 144 pages in which alongside the latest instalments of Devlin Waugh, Surfer, Storm Warning and Death Metal Planet – plus of course a complete seasonal case for Judge Dredd, courtesy of Ken Niemand and Stewart K. Moore – we’ve got two bonus stories in the shape of an eight-page Judge Dredd by Rob Williams and Will Conrad, and the debut of Mega-City 2099, a slice of retro law enforcement from Niemand and Conor Boyle, channelling that 1970s aesthetic.

Elsewhere there are interviews with two comics creators that have dipped their toes into prose – former Rogue Trooper script-droid Gerry Finley-Day and cover artist John Watson – as well as writer and editor John Freeman, plus reprints of the first issues of Judge Dredd: Year One and Mega-City Two: City of Courts, both originally published by IDW, and some classic Steel Claw material.

Judge Dredd Megazine #451 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of the Megazine in the first month of its release then postage in the UK is free!

He’s the lord of fear – in any colour!

He’s the lord of fear in any colour – and the black and white variant of the undead alien superfiend Judge Fear is the latest action figure coming in 2023 from Hiya Toys!

Rebellion and Hiya Toys are proud to announce another of the 1:18 PVC action figures in the eagerly anticipated range based on the world of Judge Dredd.

Judge Fear is the terror-inducing member of the Dark Judges, the alien superfiends from a dimension where all life has been declared a crime. A single look behind the gothic windows of his helmet visor reveals his victim’s worst fear – scaring them to death!

He was also involved in one of the most iconic moments in the strip’s history – grabbing Judge Dredd’s head and opening his visor, he announced ‘Gaze into the face of Fear!’, to which Dredd replied ‘Gaze into the fist of Dredd!’ and punches straight through Fear’s head.

Due for release in the first quarter of 2023 and retailing at $19.99 (USD), this ‘black and white’ variant of the Judge Fear figure will come with 16 points of articulation, shoulder and joint pads, chain and badge of office, utility belt with dimension jump, imposing winged helmet, inter-changeable hands, and a fearsome mantrap accessory.

The latest addition to the brand new range of fully poseable 1:18 figures due to begin arriving in stores and online from this autumn and will come shipped in an attractive protective cardboard window box.
