OUT NOW: 2000 AD Prog 2149

Cover by Glenn Fabry & Karen Holloway

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS!

Everything wraps up this issue, Terrans, as we reach the final instalments of the current Dredd, Jaegir and Sinister Dexter thrillers — joined by a spooky oneoff Future Shock from the McCann and Fabry droids — which means that a whole new roster of stunning stories commences next week in the bumper Prog 2150.

Alongside Judge Dredd: Guatemala and Defoe: The Divisor, be prepared for the next arc in the Brink saga, Hate Box, by Dan Abnett and INJ Culbard, the latest dispatch from The Fall of Deadworld, Doomed, by Kek-W and Dave Kendall, and the return of private detective Mallory Hope in Under Fire by Guy Adams and Jimmy Broxton.

Add to that a complete Anderson, Psi-Div tale by Alan Grant and Jake Lynch and much more, and you have an unmissable jumping-on prog!

Alas, there is some sad news to impart too — artdroid Nigel Dobbyn tragically died of a heart attack two weeks ago, at the age of fifty-six. A regular presence in these pages in the eighties and nineties, drawing Medivac 318 as well as series like Trash and Strontium Dogs, he was an enormously accomplished artist. A full obituary will be published in Meg 413, but for now our condolences to his family and friends.

2000 AD Prog 2149 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage in the UK is free!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS!

Quaequam blag, what a stuffed prog we have for you this week, Terrans — you can barely slide a flattened Gronk between the stories, and so rammed is it with zarjazosity that we’ve had to allow Jaegir to spill over onto the back cover.

Within these pages you’ll also find the penultimate parts of both Judge Dredd: The Fall of Barbarbara Grimm and Sinister Dexter: Narrow Minded plus the scrotnig final instalments of Indigo Prime and Red Road.

That means that everything wraps up in seven days’ time ready for my next bumper jumping-on issue, Prog 2150, out on 25 September!

Subscribes, and the eagle eyed of you on social media, might have seen a sneaky peek of the Dredd thriller starting in 2150, Guatemala, by John Wagner and Colin MacNeil, which of course you won’t want to miss for fear of circuit-failure — but what else will be joining it?

Well, another series that we’re excited about is Defoe: The Divisor by Pat Mills and debuting art droid Stuart Kenneth Moore, which sees the return of the seventeenth-century zombie-hunter, and this time he’s facing a threat that comes from beyond this planet. With the British and Dutch governments racing to be the first to the moon, there are otherworldly entities taking advantage of their rush into space…

This, plus new Hope, Brink, The Fall of Deadworld PLUS new Anderson, Psi-Division, Sinister Dexter AND a Future Shock means that this issue is guaranteed to thrill both of your socks off! It launches September 25th for the small price of £4.99 human money, so don’t miss it humes!

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS!

Another eye-popping prog to supercharge your Thrill-sensors, Terrans, and this week, along with the penultimate part of Control and the latest instalment of Indigo Prime, we have the scrotnig finales to both Anderson, Psi-Division and Thistlebone.

But while we wave farewell to them, we also welcome back future-war thriller Jaegir from creators Gordon Rennie and Simon Coleby for the next arc Valkyrie. If you remember back at the conclusion to Bonegrinder in Prog 2122, to save her fellow Norts Atalia offered up herself in surrender to the Souther forces — and now she’s in the psychopathic hands of the deranged torturer Colonel Raksha.

Can Jaegir’s comrades extract her in time before General Kovert comes to collect? Keep watching the progs, Terrans!

More new Thrills heading your way with the return of hitmen Sinister Dexter, courtesy of Dan Abnett and Steve Yeowell, and we’re just six short weeks away from the next jumping-on entry point, Prog 2150, out on 25 September, featuring a whole raft of new stories.

2000 AD Prog 2144 is out now from all good newsagents and comic book stores, plus digitally from our webshop and apps! Don’t forget that if you buy an issue of 2000 AD in the first week of its release then postage in the UK is free!

OUT NOW: 2000 AD Prog 2143

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS!

We’ve got another absolutely packed prog for you this week, Thrill-hungry Squaxx, with every page thrumming with zarjazosity!

We enter the crazed mind of the psychopathic Judge Pin and learn something of her past in Judge Dredd: Control, there’s giant-monster smackdown action in Indigo Prime, Anderson tries to convince Karyn not to succumb to the psi-paradise in Martyrs, Avril finally confronts the figure that led her back to Harrowvale in the penultimate episode of Thistlebone, and we wave goodbye to that cantankerous old copper Harry Absalom in the final part of Gordon Rennie and Tiernen Trevallion’s supernatural saga.

Who lives? Who dies? You know where the answers lie, Terrans — don’t let us stop you from racing ahead to find out!

Next week sees the final instalments of Anderson, Psi-Division and Thistlebone – don’t miss it, Terrans!

Strange times in this country that the Mighty Tharg has set up home in — back in 1977, social turmoil saw anger and satire manifest as punk-SF energy within these pages, and now, as we write these words, there’s a new PM, who could well divide the nation even further. As the Establishment closes ranks, never has 2000 AD’s position as the antidote to grim reality been more important. Join us every week, humes, as we head beyond the here and now and enter the Thrillsphere!
