Head into the Cursed Earth with the new Judge Dredd action figure from Hiya Toys

He’s ready for the most unforgiving place on Earth – the 1/18 scale Cursed Earth Judge Dredd action figure is coming from Hiya Toys.

The HIYA EXQUISITE MINI 1/18 Scale 4 Inch Cursed Earth Judge Dredd PVC action figure will be available to pre-order from July, and is due in stores in early 2024.

Retailing at $24.99 (USD), the Cursed Earth Judge Dredd figure comes with 16 points of articulation, plus shoulder and joint pads, and chain and badge of office. As well as his Lawmaster gun, formidable daystick, and sets of interchangeable hands, he comes wrapped in his special Radcloak to protect himself from the poisoned landscape of the Cursed Earth.

First introduction in 1977, The Cursed Earth is the irradiated wasteland separating the great Mega-Cities of the eastern, western, and southern coasts of North America. The result of the devastating Atomic Wars of the 2070s, this blasted landscape is populated by mutants, marauders, cannibals, and even rampaging Tyrannosaurs Rex. It is an unforgiving place, where even Judges fear to tread – but if there’s one future cop who can bring law to this lawless land then it’s Judge Dredd!

In 1979’s ‘The Cursed Earth’ by Pat Mills, John Wagner, Chris Lowder, Mick McMahon and Brian Bolland, Dredd famously crossed this seemingly impassable landscape on a mercy mission to deliver a vital antidote to Mega-City Two – on the way encountering blood-sucking robots, flying rats, alien slavers, and dinosaurs revived by science but let loose by the follies of mankind!

The latest addition to the brand new range of fully-poseable 1/18 scale figures from Hiya Toys, this figure will come shipped in an attractive protective cardboard window box.

Whether it’s identifying as an ‘Increased Leisure Citizen’ or as one of Torquemada’s feared Tube Police, these these three-inch (7.6 cm) embroidered patches are the perfect accessory for any self-respecting Squaxx Dek Thargo, and can be attached simply by ironing, sewing, or securing with a safety pin.

Available worldwide through the Rebellion webshop, these are the first in a new series of patches featuring logos inspired by the myriad, action-packed worlds of 2000 AD, from Judge Dredd and Nemesis the Warlock, to Strontium Dog and Rogue Trooper.

Signal to fellow fans that you’re a true Squaxx Dek Thargo – make sure you get patched up with the new 2000 AD range of iron-on embroidered patches!

Mega-City One Justice Dept. Property

Keeping the streets safe since 2031, the Judges of Mega-City One’s Justice Department are judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one. This elite force is backed up by legions of Tek, Med and support personnel who ensure that Justice can be quickly dispensed to any who dare break the law!

Whether you’re administering an iso-block, running a clean-up crew, or manning a desk at Control, you can now be a part of the machinery of the state, which bears the classic Justice Department’s eagle shield logo, made famous by 2000 AD‘s Judge Dredd.

Termight Tube Police

They’re the scourge of deviants as they keep Termight’s underground highways clean and pure – they are the Tube Police, and you can now pledge your violent demise to the Grand Master of Termight, Tomás de Torquemada, himself with this embroidered iron-on patch.

Created by Pat Mills and Kevin O’Neill, Torquemada is the twisted human despot intent on purging all ‘deviant’ alien life from the galaxy. Once he was the lead enforcer of the feared Tube Police but Torquemada ascended to the position of supreme leader of the Empire. He was assisted in his nefarious cruelty by the Terminators, his quasi-religious police force. His own followers do his vile bidding as they are just as scared of him – if not more so – than the innocent beings that they slaughter on his behalf!

Rogue Trooper GI

Bred for war, a legend forged in the poisoned wastelands of Nu Earth – he is the Rogue Trooper! Get the legendary logo of the Genetic Infantrymen on an embroidered iron-on patch.

Created by Gerry Finley-Day and Gibbons, Rogue Trooper is the blue-skinned soldier fighting his own war amidst the choking chem clouds of this tainted planet, trapped between two opposing and intractable armies, his only company the digital personalities of his three dead comrades – Bagman, Gunnar, Helm – encoded into his equipment.

Rogue Trooper Nort

Get the legendary Nort logo of the Greater Nordland Republic, fighting the Southers for control of the strategically vital planet of Nu Earth – in an endless war that has turned this Earth-like planet into a polluted hellhole, where no normal human can exist without an all-over protective bodysuit.

Millicom Genetic Engineering Division

Created in the genetic labs of the Southern Cross Confederacy’s orbiting headquarters, Millicom, the Genetic Infantrymen were to be the decisive weapon in the endless war on Nu Earth against the Norts – yet the GIs were betrayed by one of their own!

Created by Gerry Finley-Day and Gibbons, Rogue Trooper is the blue-skinned soldier hunting the Traitor General amidst the choking chem clouds of this tainted planet, trapped between two opposing and intractable armies, his only company the digital personalities of his three dead comrades – Bagman, Gunnar, Helm – encoded into his equipment.

Increased Leisure Citizen

In the 50th Century, The Hoop is a crowded, poverty-stricken housing project tethered off the peninsula of Manhattan. Here, the chronically unemployed – ironically dubbed ‘Increased Leisure Citizens’ – scrape a living in a place where even a shopping trip can lead to death.

Halo Jones is an ordinary, idealistic young woman living on The Hoop, a poverty-stricken housing project tethered off the point of Manhattan. Desperate for a better life, she escapes – and finds an extraordinary universe waiting for her as she goes from star-cruiser stewardess to frontline soldier.

Strontium Dog logo

Rejected by their society due to their radiation-induced mutations, the bounty hunters of the Search/Destroy Agency – known as the Strontium Dogs – take the jobs no-one else wants. This patch pays homage to one of 2000 AD’s most popular series and Carlos Ezquerra’s bold original design for the agency’s logo.

Co-created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, Strontium Dog is an epic sci-fi Western from the pages of 2000 AD, with Alpha hunting down the scum of the galaxy alongside his partner, the Viking warrior Wulf Sternhammer.

Coming this Autumn – a Strontium Dog for your shelf!

He’s the mutant bounty hunter taking down the scum of the galaxy – and now you can have your own Strontium Dog for your shelf!

The newest licensed merchandise from 2000 AD is Fish Collectibles’ 1:6 scale statue of Johnny Alpha, the ultimate Strontium Dog! Successfully funded on Kickstarter, this 12 inch-tall (305mm) statue is made of polystone and will debut at the Rebellion/2000 AD booth (#2121) at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Paying tribute to the stunning design of co-creator Carlos Ezquerra and using feedback from fans, Fish Collectibles have created a sculpt closely resembling the classic image of Johnny Alpha, the teenage leader of the mutant rebellion in a 22nd Century Britain where the victims of nuclear war are shunned by ‘Norm’ society and herded into ghettos.

The paint-master and tooling are currently with a factory in Hong Kong for manufacture and the finished statues should land in the UK in the last quarter of 2023. The Fish Collectibles Johnny Alpha statue will retail for £165 plus shipping (which will be under £10 within the UK), but you can secure yours now with just a £40 deposit at fishcollectibles.com

The success of the Johnny Alpha statue will dictate future release, with 500 sales allowing the range to continue with Rogue Trooper.

One of 2000 AD’s most popular ever series, Strontium Dog is an epic sci-fi Western created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra that debuted in Starlord2000 AD’s short-lived sister title, in 1978.

One of the most iconic strips in the history of British comics, the bounty hunters of the Search/Destroy Agency – derisively dubbed ‘Strontium Dogs’ – are members of a persecuted minority of mutated humans, their bodies warped by Strontium 90 fallout, who are despised by the ‘Norm’ population, barred from public life, and herded into ghettos.

The only job open to them is as bounty hunters and, from the orbiting ‘Doghouse’ base, Johnny Alpha and his Viking partner, Wulf Sternhammer head out to track down criminals for cold, hard cash – from deep space to Hell itself, from Adolf Hitler to Ronald Reagan!

The series has had a cultural impact far beyond its pages, with director Edgar Wright and actor Simon Pegg famously citing the death of Johnny Alpha in their acclaimed comedy TV series Spaced.

Also available will be a super-limited variant edition – a special ‘black, white and Dredd’ with vivid reds picked out against the monochrome of the nightmare urban noir, in an edition of 100.

It is the first time Rebellion has offered such a high-end poster as its exclusive Comic Con merch and copies of both variants will be available exclusively from the Rebellion booth (#2121) at San Diego Comic Con from Previews Night on Wednesday 19 July. To create his vision of the city created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, Ferguson has drawn on over 45 years of Judge Dredd comics from the legendary British comic book powerhouse 2000 AD. This poster comes packed with Easter eggs for fans old and new – from signs advertising the ‘ugly clinics’ of Otto Sump and Mega-City One’s ‘Smokatorium’, to a raging Block War, and including the names of the greatest creators to ever work on Judge Dredd such as John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra, Brian Bolland, and Ron Smith.

A graphic designer and artist from Sheffield in the UK, Matt is best known for working with Marvel Studios and Disney, including designing key artwork for many MCU films and official Star Wars promotional posters. He is the co-founder and Creative Director of Vice Press, has had exhibitions at galleries in the US and UK – including Bottleneck Gallery – and is well known in the industry for his beautifully stylised creations for established film and TV properties.

Matt said: “I have been a long time fan of 2000 AD and Judge Dredd and I always love working in that universe of comics, so it was great to apply techniques I would typically use for a movie poster on a project like this. It’s always fun to pack posters with easter eggs and Mega-City One is perfect for such a poster. Get wise! Get Ugly!”

The 24” x 36” offset litho fine art poster by Matt Ferguson is an edition of 400 with a black-and-white variant of edition of 100, available from Booth #2121 at San Diego Comic Con (19-23 July) and, exclusively for 2000 AD and Judge Dredd Megazine subscribers, from shop.2000AD.com from 12pm BST on Thursday 20 July.

Judge Anderson vs The Dark Judges – new HIYA Toys set coming 2024!

“Open your mind, Anderssson! You cannot resssissst usss!” – it’s the titanic encounter between Mega-City One’s top psychic cop and the undead alien superfiends from a dimension where all life is a crime – Rebellion and HIYA Toys are pleased to announce the new 1/18 scale ‘Judge Anderson vs The Dark Judges’ action figure set.

Recreating the classic moment from 1985 when the spirits of the fiendish Dark Judges rose up from the bone-strewn earth of Deadworld to possess Judge Cassandra Anderson, the HIYA EXQUISITE MINI Series 1/18 Scale 4 Inch ‘Judge Anderson vs The Dark Judges’ set is scheduled to reach stores in 2024.

This new set, based on the original comic art by artist Brett Ewins, is the latest in the brand new range of 1:18 PVC action figures based on the world of Judge Dredd, from the pages of the bestselling comic British comic, 2000 AD.

Retailing at $24.99 (USD), this PVC set comes with 15 points of articulation. The four spirit-trails of the Dark Judges are fully bendable, allowing you to pose them around the figure of Anderson on the included platform.

With her powerful psychic abilities and irreverent wit, Judge Anderson is one of 2000 AD’s biggest characters – the perfect foil for Judge Dredd since her debut in 1981 but so popular she soon broke out into her own series. Co-created by writer John Wagner and legendary artist Brian Bolland (Batman: The Killing Joke, Camelot 3000), and immortalised by actor Olivia Thirlby in the 2012 movie Dredd, Anderson brings her special power to patrolling the mean streets of Mega-City One.

Also co-created by Wagner and Bolland, The Dark Judges are Judge Dredd and Anderson’s greatest nemeses, undead zombie Judges who decided that as all crime is committed by the living therefore life itself is a crime! Although regularly foiled by Dredd and Anderson, the Dark Judges still find ways to return to finish the job of extinguishing all life!

In an episode of ‘Four Dark Judges’, written by Alan Grant & John Wagner and originally published in 1985’s 2000 AD Prog 418, Judge Death fools Judge Anderson into crossing dimensions to his home planet of Deadworld. Once there, the Dark Judges’ overcome Anderson and use her to return to Mega-City One and recommence their murderous mission!

The latest addition to the brand new range of fully-poseable 1/18 scale figures brings to (undead) life another classic moment from the pages of 2000 AD and will come shipped in an attractive protective cardboard window box.

Judge Fear is the terror-inducing member of the Dark Judges, the alien superfiends from a dimension where all life has been declared a crime – and a single look behind the gothic windows of his helmet visor reveals his victim’s worst fear, scaring them to death!

But in the 1981 Judge Dredd story ‘Judge Death Lives’, drawn by the legendary artist Brian Bolland, when Judge Fear invites Dredd to “Gaze into the face of Fear!” rather than succumb to terror Dredd instead smashes his fist straight through Fear’s head and declares “Gaze into the fist of Dredd!”.

Regularly cited by fans as one of Dredd’s greatest ever moments, the Exquisite Mini Series 1/18 Scale 4 Inch Judge Dredd: Gaze Into The Fist of Dredd Action Figure set will retail at $39.99 (USD) and will be available to pre-order from retailers from 10 May.

The Judge Fear figure comes with 13 points of articulation and Dredd with 16 points, plus shoulder and joint pads, and chains and badges of office. Judge Fear’s helmet has been remodelled to allow you to set up the classic pose, with a fist-sized hole for Dredd to punch through!

The latest addition to the brand new range of fully-poseable 1/18 scale figures will come shipped in an attractive protective cardboard window box.
